March 4, 2020 by Tisha 1 Comment

10 Foods For Glowing Skin (+3 Products I Love)

February 29, 2020 by Tisha 1 Comment

I remember when I was in high school, I was so self-conscious of my skin. I didn’t have acne (which I was forever grateful for), but my skin never looked good. I had bumps all over my forehead and my skin was always oily. I was someone who carried around blot sheets all the time and

Citrus Berry Smoothie

February 23, 2020 by Tisha Leave a Comment

Happy weekend! Today I’m keeping it short and sweet with this Citrus Berry Smoothie. I’m going to let you in a little secret: I don’t usually like fruity smoothies. For me, I want my smoothie to be functional: to be low in sugar, and high in fat, fibre and protein. So I’ll always go for

I am so, so excited to kick off this series On My Plate,  a series where I get to interview inspiring people in the wellness world about what’s on their plate: both in their work lives, and quite literally, what they’re eating. This series has been in my brain for some time now–I’m forever nosy

Adaptogenic Chocolate Truffles Recipe

February 13, 2020 by Tisha 10 Comments

I’m going to be honest: I’m kind of obsessed with this Adaptogenic Chocolate Truffles recipe–it’s so freakin’ good. Essentially I wanted something chocolate-y and delicious, but also functional. So naturally, I added in some ashwagandha, one of my favourite adaptogens. Ashwagandha helps to just mellow you out, and take away the jitters. It literally makes

How To Meal Prep (When You Hate It)

January 29, 2020 by Tisha Leave a Comment

Meal prep is a drag–I get it. Especially when you’re cooking for one. As a busy human with lots going on, I can’t tell you the amount of food I prepped on Sunday only to not eat it throughout the week because I was working late, I had plans with friends, or honestly? I just didn’t want

Dairy & hormones—friend or foe? There’s a lo Dairy & hormones—friend or foe?

There’s a lot of mixed info out there, but here’s the truth:

❌ Dairy doesn’t *always* mess with hormones.

✅ Some people are sensitive to it, while others digest it just fine.

✅ Full-fat dairy (like yogurt) has probiotics, calcium & vitamin D—which can actually help PMS!

The key? Listen to your body. If dairy triggers symptoms like bloating or cramps, you might want to try temporarily cutting it out to see how you feel.

But if you’ve been told you need to cut out dairy for your hormone health, just know there’s a lot of benefits to incorporating it into your diet! #hormonehealth #integrativenutrition #periodproblems

Endometriosis affects about 10% of women and people assigned female at birth worldwide, and is one of the most common causes of pelvic pain for women of reproductive age.

While we still need more research in this area, some foods might be helpful in lowering inflammation, getting rid of extra estrogen and avoiding the triggers that make endometriosis symptoms worse.

✨Did you know?✨

There’s a link between IBS and endometriosis: they often co-exist together. If you struggle with symptoms like bloating or stomach pain, it might be worth checking for food intolerances, celiac disease or IBS.
