March 8, 2021 by Tisha 4 Comments

Can we talk about the role that stress plays on gut health? Banana Foster Chia Pudding [GF + V]

February 6, 2021 by Tisha Leave a Comment

This recipe has me SO excited! Mostly because it came out of the leftovers that I was trying to use up: an opened can of coconut milk and a very ripe banana. In my attempts to be less wasteful and use up food in the fridge, I had the best idea: caramelized bananas. And alas,

Eat More To Weigh Less?

February 3, 2021 by Tisha 3 Comments

I’m going to tell you something, that I’m sure, on some level you already know: dieting doesn’t work. Diets don’t provide long-term success (meaning any weight you lose, you’ll likely regain—and then some), and 95% of all diets fail. And yet, we’re in this cycle where we always go back to it. Even though we

How Hyperpalatable Foods Control Your Hunger (And What You Can Do About It)

January 24, 2021 by Tisha 3 Comments

I’ve talked a lot about intuitive eating and how to restore your relationship with food. The reason for this is because I know, first hand, that if you don’t have a healthy relationship with food, nothing else matters. It doesn’t matter if you reach your “goal weight”, it doesn’t matter if you’re doing everything “right”.

We are one week into 2021. How’s it feeling? Hopefully, like a much needed fresh start. I know for lots of us, myself included, we’re still in lockdown. It’s been an intense year, and things aren’t going to switch up simply because we’re in a new year. Which is why, this year, I ask you

November 29, 2020 by Tisha 2 Comments

Okay, so I know putting miso in blondies is nothing new. But let me say this: it’s also nothing short of magic. Seriously: whoever came up with the idea to add miso? Absolutely brilliant. Because it makes these blondies everything you hope: decadent, sweet, salty. They. Are. So. Freaking. Good. Naturally, I had to add

Dairy & hormones—friend or foe? There’s a lo Dairy & hormones—friend or foe?

There’s a lot of mixed info out there, but here’s the truth:

❌ Dairy doesn’t *always* mess with hormones.

✅ Some people are sensitive to it, while others digest it just fine.

✅ Full-fat dairy (like yogurt) has probiotics, calcium & vitamin D—which can actually help PMS!

The key? Listen to your body. If dairy triggers symptoms like bloating or cramps, you might want to try temporarily cutting it out to see how you feel.

But if you’ve been told you need to cut out dairy for your hormone health, just know there’s a lot of benefits to incorporating it into your diet! #hormonehealth #integrativenutrition #periodproblems

✨Did you know?✨

There’s a link between IBS and endometriosis: they often co-exist together. If you struggle with symptoms like bloating or stomach pain, it might be worth checking for food intolerances, celiac disease or IBS.
