4-Ingredient Tropical Green Smoothie

June 28, 2020 by Tisha Leave a Comment

It feels like it’s been awhile since I’ve shared a recipe on the blog! It’s not intentional, I promise. It’s just that I moved at the beginning of June, so between packing up, moving and unpacking, making recipes (and taking photos) has had to take a bit of a back seat. But not anymore! I

How To Make Wellness More Inclusive

June 16, 2020 by Tisha 1 Comment

There has been a lot to take in these last few weeks. But as I say that, it sounds naive: this hasn’t been going on only these past few weeks. Racism has always been very much an issue here in Canada, as it has been in the US. We often think that, as Canadians, we’re

Dating As A Bisexual: What’s It Really Like?

June 9, 2020 by Tisha Leave a Comment

Hey lovely humans, how are you feeling? It’s been quite a week (it’s been quite a year). I stepped back from the blog because there was so much happening, so much being discussed, around racism and racial injustice–and I didn’t want to take away from that. I didn’t want to distract from people who needed

How To Start A Wellness Blog

May 17, 2020 by Tisha Leave a Comment

I am so excited to dive into this today, as it’s something I get a lot of questions about: how to start a wellness blog. My humble little blog started five years ago, and considering I knew nothing about photography, websites or marketing, it’s been a very slow journey. You know how you always hear about

Vegan Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake

May 13, 2020 by Tisha 1 Comment

Warm weather is just around the corner–can you feel it? Okay, it might be wishful thinking–after all, here in Toronto there was snow just a few short weeks ago–but there’s only so many rainy days a girl can take when she’s being told to stay inside, day in, day out. I need some sun, I

Life Update: The Art Of Slowing Down

May 11, 2020 by Tisha Leave a Comment

Hello lovely humans! It’s been a minute since I’ve had a chance to post on here, but I’m hoping to be back to regularly scheduled posting in a few weeks. I don’t know about you, but these past few months have felt so topsy-turvy. Prior to this global pandemic, I really felt like I was

Luna Bronze Review: Why I’m Obsessed (and you should be too!)

April 20, 2020 by Tisha Leave a Comment

It’s finally starting to feel warm outside, and I am here for it. 2020 has been a freakin’ whirlwind, and being stuck inside watching the gloomy days go by has not been my cup of tea. But yesterday, it felt so warm, I was able to walk around my neighbourhood aimlessly (keeping my distance) and just

Sesame Ginger Keto Cabbage Rolls

April 15, 2020 by Tisha 10 Comments

This recipe might seem a little weird–but stick with me. The other day I was craving lettuce wraps, but I wanted something a little heartier, something warm. But also something fresh. And thus, these Sesame Ginger Keto Cabbage Rolls were born. And let me tell you: it’s so flavourful! This recipe proved to be

My Self-Care Essentials

April 12, 2020 by Tisha 3 Comments

For today’s post, I thought I’d keep it short and sweet, and share all of my self-care essentials while I’ve been practicing social distancing. What does self-care mean to you?  For me, it means taking care of my body and my mental health, and those can look like two very different sets of needs. For example, taking

Good morning! I’m excited to share this Mini Paleo Carrot Cakes recipe with you–it feels like Spring in bite: fresh, sweet, zesty. This recipe was born out of social distancing boredom. Is anyone else feeling that? I’m pretty sure last week, I talked about how much I was loving this time to focus on side

Dairy & hormones—friend or foe? There’s a lo Dairy & hormones—friend or foe?

There’s a lot of mixed info out there, but here’s the truth:

❌ Dairy doesn’t *always* mess with hormones.

✅ Some people are sensitive to it, while others digest it just fine.

✅ Full-fat dairy (like yogurt) has probiotics, calcium & vitamin D—which can actually help PMS!

The key? Listen to your body. If dairy triggers symptoms like bloating or cramps, you might want to try temporarily cutting it out to see how you feel.

But if you’ve been told you need to cut out dairy for your hormone health, just know there’s a lot of benefits to incorporating it into your diet! #hormonehealth #integrativenutrition #periodproblems

Endometriosis affects about 10% of women and people assigned female at birth worldwide, and is one of the most common causes of pelvic pain for women of reproductive age.

While we still need more research in this area, some foods might be helpful in lowering inflammation, getting rid of extra estrogen and avoiding the triggers that make endometriosis symptoms worse.

✨Did you know?✨

There’s a link between IBS and endometriosis: they often co-exist together. If you struggle with symptoms like bloating or stomach pain, it might be worth checking for food intolerances, celiac disease or IBS.
