Whenever I work with a client, I always like to start here, with diet culture. Even when we’re looking at something deeper like hormone issues. (Especially when we’re looking at hormone issues.)
And for good reason: diet culture is everywhere. We are surrounded by it, and often we don’t realize how much it impacts our daily decisions. So often I end up working with people who feel out of control with their eating, only to realize they aren’t eating enough. And yet, they feel so much guilt and shame around their food choices.
